About Mississippi Eye Care Ackerman
Mississippi Eye Care Ackerman is a brand-new clinic in a brand-new building! Constructed with patient care in mind, it features state-of-the-art equipment and an optical center with the latest styles in eyewear frames and UV protection sunglasses.
Like all our Mississippi Eye Care clinics, the Ackerman location is a full-service eye and vision care practice. Services include comprehensive eye exams, corrective eyewear and sports vision testing. Our knowledgeable and experienced eye doctors specialize in diagnosing and treating various eye diseases, conditions and other vision issues.

Mississippi Eye Care Ackerman is pleased to announce Dr. Chris Herring will see patients in the Ackerman and surrounding community for all their vision needs. From infants and adolescents to teens and seniors, vision health matters. Our trained staff is ready to answer your vision health questions and more.
Dr. Herring, a Starkville native, earned his Bachelor of Accounting and Master of Taxation degrees from Mississippi State University in 2010 and 2011. However, after earning his CPA license and working in public accounting, Dr. Herring decided on a career change.
He pursued his Doctor of Optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn., where he thrived as a Student Ambassador, National AOSA Advocacy Liaison, Student Government Association Treasurer and the Mississippi Optometric Student Association president.
He joined the MEC family in 2017 at Mississippi Eye Care Starkville. Learn more about Dr. Herring before your visit!

Have you been looking for a local eye care clinic? Look no further than 411 Chester St., where you will find Mississippi Eye Care Ackerman. Visit the Ackerman clinic during their business hours: Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Please note the clinic is closed for lunch Monday through Friday from 12 to 1 p.m. Appointments, walk-ins and emergencies are welcome during our hours.
