Dr. Zampella is passionate about helping people with low vision live more independently and confidently. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2013 and earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in 2017.
Dedicated to advancing his expertise in low vision care, Dr. Zampella completed an advanced mentorship program with Dr. Ana Juricic, the creator of The Vision Enhancing Method Blueprint. The program aims to improve the livelihood of all people impacted by low vision. This specialized training equips him with innovative techniques to help patients extend their remaining vision and enhance their quality of life.
Dr. Zampella’s commitment to low vision care is deeply personal. His wife, Maggie, was born with a rare retinal disease called retinitis pigmentosa. Her journey with vision loss and advocacy for others with low vision inspired his mission to empower others facing similar challenges.
Together, they have navigated the ups and downs of vision loss, and Maggie’s strength and resilience continue to motivate his work. Her courage and determination are at the heart of our patient-driven solutions, reminding us that independence is possible with support and the correct resources.
