Meet Our Doctors

Stacie Moore, OD
Dr. Stacie Moore is a native of Omaha, Nebraska. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Moore attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, where she graduated with honors. While at SCO, she served as the President of her class, received two outstanding clinician performance awards, was awarded the VSP Excellence in Primary Care Scholarship, and was inducted into Beta Sigma Kappa, the International Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Stacie Moore received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She was the first African American to receive a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Degree from the university. Dr. Moore attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, where she served as president of her class, received multiple awards, and graduated with honors. Dr. Moore is motivated, passionate, and dedicated to service in her community and her profession. She is in private practice at the Eye Clinic of West Point, Inc., in West Point, MS. She has over 25 years of experience in providing exceptional personalized vision care. In 2023, Dr. Moore was a finalist for the Mississippi Optometric Association OD of the year. In 2024, she received the Dr. James P. Brownlee Optometrist of the Award.
Dr. Moore has served her community as president of the West Point branch of the Lion’s Club, and board member of the following: Growth Alliance, Sally Kate Winters Family Services, Mississippi State Extension Program, and Methodist Senior Services at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point. Since 2022, she has served as the clinical director of Opening Eyes, part of the Healthy Athletes program of Special Olympics Mississippi. She became member of the North Mississippi Medical Center Board of Directors-West Point in December 2022. In 2021, as an advocate for optometry, Dr. Moore spoke before the Mississippi Senate Public Health Committee in support of House Bill 1302. Dr. Moore served as the president of Mississippi Optometry Association from 2022-2023. She is also a board member of the Mississippi Vision Foundation.
Dr. Moore is also a lifetime member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband Steven, and two sons, Steven snd Walker.

Sarah Fratesi, OD
Originally from Jackson, TN, Dr. Fratesi joined Mississippi Eye Care Starkville (formerly Crigler Family Vision Center) in June of 2003. Dr. Fratesi received her Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Mississippi State University in 1999. While attending MSU, Dr. Fratesi was a member of the Delta Gamma fraternity serving as Director of Sponsorship, and she also received the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal Research Award in 1999.
Originally from Jackson, TN, Dr. Fratesi joined Mississippi Eye Care Starkville (formerly Crigler Family Vision Center) in June of 2003. Dr. Fratesi received her Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Mississippi State University in 1999. Following graduation, she pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. As a student at SCO, she served as Treasurer for the class of 2003 for four years, and was selected from a group of candidates nationwide to receive the Minnie F. Turner Low Vision Research Award in 2002.
Her memberships include American Optometric Association, Mississippi Optometric Association serving as InfantSee Committe Co-Chair, and the Northeast Optometric Society. Dr. Fratesi is currently on the Mississippi Vision Foundation Board and received the Dr. W. David Sullins Jr Infant See Award in 2021. She was a member of the MOA Leadership class 2016-2017.
An active member of Delta Lambda chapter of Delta Gamma, Dr. Fratesi has occupied many roles including Foundation Advisor, Communications Advisor, New Member Advisor and is currently the Anchor Splash Advisor. Dr Fratesi received the Cable Award in 2016 which recognizes alumnae for personal devotion and continued service to the Fraternity. In 2012 she was awarded Greek Advisor of the Year for MSU.
Dr. Fratesi is also a proud member of the Starkville Rotary Club, a Paul Harris Fellow, and was recently bestowed the Service Above Self Award in 2025, which recognizes Rotarians who demonstrate their commitment to helping others by volunteering their time and talents.
An avid Mississippi State fan, Dr. Fratesi also serves as a vision consultant for Mississippi State University Athletics. She and her husband, Joe, are members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where she has served on the Pastoral Council Board. They are proud parents to 3 wonderful children: Nate, BZ, and Leah.
